FAQs
FAQs
Here are a few helpful answers about shopping with inka.
Orders & delivery
When will my order be dispatched?
We aim to dispatch orders within 1–2 working days.
During busy periods, new collection launches, markets, bank holidays or sale periods, dispatch may take a little longer, but we’ll always do our best to get your order on its way as quickly as possible.
How long does UK delivery take?
UK delivery usually takes 2–4 working days from dispatch, depending on the courier service used.
Express delivery may also be available at checkout and usually takes 1–2 working days from dispatch.
Do you offer free delivery?
Yes, we currently offer free UK delivery when you spend over £50.
Delivery costs will always be shown clearly at checkout before you complete your order.
Do you ship internationally?
At the moment, we mainly ship within the UK and do not offer international delivery as standard.
If you are outside the UK and would like to place an order, please contact us and we’ll let you know if we’re able to help.
Can I change my delivery address after ordering?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you notice a mistake with your delivery address.
We’ll do our best to update it before your order is dispatched, but this may not always be possible once your parcel is being prepared or has already been sent.
Returns
Can I return my order?
Yes. If something isn’t quite right, you can request a return within 14 days of receiving your order.
Once your return has been approved, you then have a further 14 days to send the item back to us.
How do I start a return?
You can request a return through our online returns system.
Sign in using the email address you used to place your order, open your order, and choose Request return. We’ll review your request and email you with the next steps.
Do I have to pay for return postage?
Yes, return postage is arranged and paid for by the customer.
We recommend using a tracked postal service, as we can’t be responsible for items that are lost or damaged on their way back to us.
Can I exchange an item?
At the moment, we do not offer direct exchanges.
The quickest way to receive a different item is to return your original order and place a new order separately.

We’ll look into it and help resolve the issue.
Our Designs & Materials
Are your designs exclusive to inka?
Yes. Our collections are designed by us and created with the inks style in mind - soft, timeless colours, natural textures and relaxed, considered details.
Many of our cushion designs are exclusive to inks and are created in small, thoughtful runs rather than mass-produced in huge quantities. We want each piece to feel special, easy to style and a little different from what you would find on the high street.
Are your cushions bespoke?
Our cushions are designed in-house and created exclusively for inka, but they are not usually made to order unless clearly stated.
We use the word “bespoke” to describe the considered design process behind our collections — from the colours and fabrics to the embroidery, piping, ruffles and finishing details.
What materials are your cushions made from?
Our cushions are made using carefully chosen fabrics such as linen, cotton, cotton-linen blends and durable outdoor fabrics, depending on the design.
We choose materials for their texture, quality and natural feel. Many of our cushions include thoughtful details such as embroidery, piping, ruffles, folded edges or scalloped trims to give each piece a more elevated finish.
Because many of our fabrics have a natural woven texture, small variations in the weave, slubs, creases or finish are part of their character and not considered faults.
Are your cushions good quality?
Yes. Quality is really important to us. We choose fabrics, finishes and inserts that help our cushions feel soft, full and beautifully made.
Our pieces are designed to be used and loved in real homes, while still feeling considered and special. We focus on natural textures, timeless colours and small design details that make each cushion feel more premium.
Do your cushions come with inserts?
Some cushions are available with inserts, and this will be clearly shown on the product page.
Where inserts are available, you can choose the option that suits you best. Our inserts are selected to properly fill each cushion cover so it has a full, comfortable and premium finish.
Are your cushion inserts premium quality?
Yes. Our inserts are chosen to give the cushions a full, plump and beautifully styled look.
A good insert makes a big difference to how a cushion sits, feels and holds its shape. We select inserts that properly complement the size and shape of each cover, so the cushion doesn’t look flat or underfilled.
For the best finish, we recommend gently plumping and shaping your cushion after unpacking.
What is the difference between microfibre and feather inserts?
Microfibre inserts are soft, lightweight and practical. They hold their shape well and are a great everyday option, especially for busy homes.
Feather inserts have a softer, more relaxed feel and can give cushions that classic full, plump look. They may need a little more regular plumping to keep their shape.
Both options are chosen to give a comfortable, premium finish.
Products
Are your cushions sold with inserts?
Please check the individual product page for full details, as this may vary by item.
The majority of cushions are sold as standard with a microfibre insert with the option to change to 'Cover Only' or upgrade to a 'Feather' insert on each individual product page.
What size cushion should I choose?
Our cushions are designed to be layered together across sofas, beds, armchairs and outdoor seating.
As a general guide:
-
50cm cushions work beautifully at the back of a sofa, bed or larger chair.
-
45cm cushions are a lovely everyday size for layering.
-
30x50cm boudoir cushions are perfect for placing at the front of a cushion arrangement or styling on smaller chairs.
Are your outdoor cushions waterproof?
Our outdoor cushions are made using water and UV resistant fabrics, designed for relaxed summer living in garden seating areas, patios and outdoor corners.
We recommend bringing them indoors during heavy rain, overnight, or when not in use for long periods to help keep them looking their best.
How should I care for my cushions?
We recommend treating your inka pieces gently.
For cushion covers, please follow the care label on the individual item where provided. As many of our pieces include natural textures, embroidery, piping, ruffles or special finishes, we recommend spot cleaning where possible and avoiding harsh washing or tumble drying unless the care label states otherwise.
Will colours look exactly the same in real life?
We do our best to photograph every item as accurately as possible in natural light.
Please note that colours can vary slightly depending on your screen settings, lighting at home and the natural texture of the fabric.
Stock & Restocks
Will sold-out items be restocked?
Some items may be restocked, but many of our pieces are created in small runs.
If there is something you love, we recommend ordering while it is available, as we cannot always guarantee a restock.
Why are some items limited?
We create our collections in small, considered quantities so that each range feels thoughtful and special.
This also allows us to introduce new colours, textures and designs throughout the year without overproducing.
